Catherine Vesce received a Master of Arts degree, with honors, in Printmaking and Painting from UMKC and a Master of Arts in Art Education from Oberlin College in Ohio. She served as Art Department Head at the Pembroke Hill Upper School, The Barstow School and Hickman Mills High School and was also CSD#1 District Art Coordinator for ten years.

After thirty years of teaching, she retired in 2004 and began showing and selling her work from a studio in the Hobbs Building in the West Bottoms of Kansas City, MO. Since 2015, Catherine has had her studio at home in Overland Park, KS. Since 2016 she has exhibited with a collective of nine artists, all women and former or current art educators called RE:GENeration. Recent shows were at The Leedy-Voulkos Art Center, KC MO; The Daum Museum of Contemporary Art in Sedalia, MO; The Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art in St. Joseph, MO; Avila University Gallery; HJ'S Community Center Gallery, KCMO where she also had a solo show; and a solo at KC MO City Hall.

She has exhibited regionally in numerous juried and invitational exhibitions including: The River-Market Regional Exhibition; Kansas/Missouri Women Artists in Wichita, KS; the Kansas City Artists ’Coalition Re-Members Show; Art at the Center at Overland Park Convention Center. She received national recognition with a fellowship award from the Marie Walsh-Sharpe Art Foundation and the National Art Education Association for its highly selective Teacher-Artist Program in Colorado.
