The Pollinators Series is the world according to bees, butterflies and birds as they pursue their life's
work amid flowers and plants.The fluttering, buzzing, zooming and resting of these essential creature inspire
images that bring attention to the existential threats to them by pesticides, habitat loss and climate change.
Humans need to live in a world where life is precious, in all its forms.

Each of these prints were derived from one of my paintings in the Poliitors Series,. transformed. The
transformations resulted from many digital layers building up an original image in a graphic design
program . Creating multiple transparent layers has particular appeal to me as a printmaker of
Monoprints and Monotypes for the past twenty years. Due to the spontaneity and painterly qua
lities of that medium, it was a natural progression to use digital tools that greatly extend and
enhance my visual vocabulary while maintaining transparency.
